Hurricanes win again vs Bruins

The Carolina Hurricanes hold the upper hand against the Boston Bruins in the NHL Åttondelsfinal, after winning 5-1 (2-0, 1-0, 2-1) at home. Carolina leads the series 3-2, and only needs one more win to make it to the kvartsfinal.

The Hurricanes started off well with a 2-0 lead with goals from Jaccob Slavin and Tony DeAngelo.

Seth Jarvis scored late into the second period, assisted by Sebastian Aho and Teuvo Teräväinen, to give the Hurricanes the lead.

In the third, Seth Jarvis scored his second goal four minutes into the third period, assisted by Vincent Trocheck and Tony DeAngelo, increasing the lead for the Hurricanes.

In the third period, Connor Clifton scored in the 11th minute of the period, assisted by Erik Haula and Taylor Hall, closing the gap for the Bruins.

In the third, Vincent Trocheck scored a goal with 3 minutes remaining, assisted by Martin Necas and Teuvo Teräväinen, increasing the lead for the Hurricanes.

Carolina improves to 3–0–0, while Boston drops to 2–0–0.

The teams meet again for Game 6 on Thursday, May 12 at 7 p.m., this time in Boston.
