Maple Leafs claim another win in series against Lightning

The Toronto Maple Leafs lead the series 3-2 against the Tampa Bay Lightning in the NHL Åttondelsfinal, after a 4-3 (0-2, 1-0, 3-1) win at home, and only needs one more win to get to the kvartsfinal.

The game-winning goal was scored by Toronto's Auston Matthews.

The Lightning started the game strong, early in the first period with two quick goals from Steven Stamkos and Victor Hedman.

John Tavares scored early in the second period, assisted by William Nylander and Mark Giordano, to give the Maple Leafs the lead.

In the third period, Morgan Rielly scored in the third minute of the third period, assisted by John Tavares and William Nylander, to tie the game for the Maple Leafs.

In the third, William Nylander scored a goal five minutes into the period, assisted by Ilya Mikheyev and Justin Holl, giving the Maple Leafs 3-2 a lead.

In the third, Ryan McDonagh scored nine minutes into the period, assisted by Ross Colton and Nicholas Paul, to tie the game.

In the third period, Auston Matthews scored a goal 14 minutes into the period, assisted by Mitchell Marner and Michael Bunting, and got the win.

Toronto improves to 3–0–0, while Tampa Bay drops to 2–0–0.

The teams will soon play again for Game 6 on Thursday, May 12 at 7:30 p.m.
