Where do the Dallas Stars go from here?
The Dallas Stars are a team with two faces.
On the one hand, the vast majority of the highest-paid players on the team are aging, and many are not doing so gracefully. It probably won't surprise you to learn that in the years since the team president called the club's two highest-paid players unprintable swear words, those stars have not gotten better.
Tyler Seguin barely moves the needle at 5-on-5 anymore, and Jamie Benn is an active drag on the team.
On the other hand, the young core of this team is highly effective and very exciting. This was a one-line team in the regular season that barely scraped into the playoffs, but when you have players like Jason Robertson, Roope Hintz, Miro Heiskanen and Jake Oettinger, you can at the very least see the twinkling of a bright future for the Stars.
