Oilers tie series with win over Flames

The Edmonton Oilers won 5-3 (1-2, 2-1, 2-0) on road against the Calgary Flames in the Stanley Cup-kvartsfinal. The series is now tied at 1-1.

The Flames had a good start to the game. They took a 2-0 lead after goals from Michael Stone and Brett Ritchie before the Oilers replied and made it 2-1 when Duncan Keith opened the scoring.

Tyler Toffoli scored early into the second period, assisted by Elias Lindholm and Johnny Gaudreau, to give the Flames the lead.

Oilers' Connor McDavid tallied a goal early, cutting the deficit to 3-2. Duncan Keith and Leon Draisaitl assisted.

Evan Bouchard scored late, assisted by Duncan Keith and Evander Kane, to give the Oilers the lead.

The Oilers were strong in the third, near the end of the third period with two quick goals from Zach Hyman and Leon Draisaitl.

Calgary drops to 1–0–0, while Edmonton improves to 1–0–0.

The teams meet again for Game 3 on Sunday, May 22 at 8 p.m., this time in Edmonton.
