Rangers tie series with win over Hurricanes

The New York Rangers tied the series against the Carolina Hurricanes in the Stanley Cup-kvartsfinal after a 4-1 (2-0, 1-0, 1-1) win at home. The series is now tied at 2-2.

The Rangers started off well with a 2-0 lead near the end of the first period with two quick goals from Frank Vatrano and Adam Fox.

Mika Zibanejad scored late in the second period, assisted by Ryan Lindgren and Frank Vatrano, to give the Rangers the lead.

In the third period, Teuvo Teräväinen then scored seven minutes into the third period, assisted by Sebastian Aho, narrowing the gap for the Hurricanes.

In the third, Andrew Copp then scored midway through the period, assisted by Ryan Strome, for a final score of 4-1.

New York improves to 2–0–0, while Carolina drops to 2–0–0.

The teams play each other again for Game 5 on Thursday, May 26 at 7 p.m.
