Hurricanes win again vs Rangers

The Carolina Hurricanes hold the upper hand against the New York Rangers in the Stanley Cup-kvartsfinal, after winning 3-1 (1-1, 1-0, 1-0) at home. Carolina leads the series 3-2, and only needs one more win to make it to the semifinal.

The hosting team took the lead late into the first period, with a goal scored by Vincent Trocheck. Jordan Staal assisted.

The Rangers tied it up late in the first period, after a Mika Zibanejad's goal assisted by Artemi Panarin and Adam Fox.

Teuvo Teräväinen scored in the middle of the second period, assisted by Seth Jarvis and Tony DeAngelo, to give the Hurricanes the lead.

In the third, Andrei Svechnikov then scored 14 minutes into the third period, assisted by Martin Necas and Brett Pesce, and sealed the win.

Carolina improves to 3–0–0, while New York drops to 2–0–0.

The teams will soon play again for Game 6 on Saturday, May 28 at 8 p.m.
