Andrei Kuzmenko is ready for an NHL roster spot
Every year another "hidden gem" makes the move from Europe to North America in the hopes of making an impact in the NHL, but it's rare for one of these players to actually find a home. The likes of Nikita Gusev, Mikko Lehtonen and Kirill Semyonov (to name a few) all struggled to translate their game to North American ice and, as a result, all ended up back in Europe.

Kuzmenko has been a high-priority Russian import for several years now and, once again, he finds himself out of contract with SKA St. Petersburg in the KHL. He's finished top three in total points on the team for the past three seasons, with this year being his first at the pinnacle of the list accruing 53 points in 45 games.
