Lightning's win decides series

The Tampa Bay Lightning have secured victory in the series against the New York Rangers in the Stanley Cup semifinal in 4-2 games. The series was decided with a 2-1 (0-0, 1-0, 1-1) win.

The game-winning goal was scored by Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos.

The first period was scoreless.

Halfway through the second period, the Lightning took the lead when Steven Stamkos opened the scoring assisted by Ondrej Palat and Mikhail Sergachev.

In the third period, Frank Vatrano then scored 14 minutes into the third period, assisted by Andrew Copp, to tie the game.

Just less than a minute later later Steven Stamkos yet again got the puck in, assisted by Nikita Kucherov and Ondrej Palat, and decided the game. The 2-1 goal would be the last one of the game.

Tampa Bay improves to 4–0–0, while New York drops to 2–0–0.
