2022 NHL Entry Draft

The most divisive prospects in the 2022 NHL Draft

Despite the technological and analytical advancements in recent times, assessing draft-eligible talent remains to be far from an exact science.

Two very qualified and intelligent people can watch the same player during the same game and come away with two polar opposite viewpoints. This can be for any number of reasons, namely, what each person values most.

One may be a sucker for physical tools such as speed and a cannon of a release. Conversely, the other may value awareness, dedication and projection at a much higher level.

Inevitably, this leads to a whole host of viewpoints and messages being passed onto the casual fan to attempt to digest. It also leads to a whole belly full of proverbial heartburn for those same readers.

Today, we’re going to explore some of the most divisive prospects from the 2022 class. And just to make things even more indiscernible, we’ll add quotes from industry sources that paint each side of the picture. Trust the scouts to keep that water nice and muddy.
