According to Elite Prospects, Teddy Townsend, 16, of the Eden Prairie High, will now play for the University of Minnesota.

Townsend is 5'10" and weighs 165 lbs. He first played for Eden Prairie YHA.

He scored 31 goals and 65 points in 66 games for the B16 - Section 2, the B16 - White (Final 54), the Eden Prairie High, the Team Black, the Team TDS Transportation, the U.S. National U17 Team and the USNTDP Juniors last season.

Teddy Townsend is the 26th player to be rostered for University of Minnesota before this season. The University of Minnesota have added John Whipple in the past month.
