What We Learned: What makes sense for Jakob Chychrun trade?

It doesn't feel likely that Jakob Chychrun will be traded before the season starts, but there are plenty of teams vying for the opportunity to make that happen.

Making any such trade is going to be a tall task for a number of reasons, not least of which is that many of the teams you may have heard connected to his name — Darren Dreger recently mentioned a half dozen in a single report — would have to do some serious salary-cap wiggling to make the money work.

While Chychrun is no doubt on an affordable contract for the kind of player he is (check out the in-depth breakdown from JFresh late last season), the fact remains that only one of the teams Dreger noted as being in the serious running for Chychrun have much more than $1.5-million in salary cap space right about now.
