EP Rinkside 2022 Prospect Pool Rankings: No. 3-ranked Anaheim Ducks

It’s a testament to the strength of the Anaheim Ducks’ amateur scouting and development staff that they rise a spot in the ranking after graduating Trevor Zegras and Jamie Drysdale to the NHL.

The addition of Pavel Mintyukov and a trio of QMHJL prospects at the draft, a pair of trades, and the impressive development of just about everyone in the organization make the Ducks system a top-three prospect pool in the league.

The theme of this prospect pool is one of tools, especially for defencemen. Nearly every blueliner in this group has mobility, activation, and play-killing ability in spades. Given that, don’t expect the Ducks reputation for drafting and developing blueliners to cease soon.

Six of their skaters landed inside Elite Prospects’ top-100, tied for the second-most league-wide.
