Montréal Canadiens claim Johnny Kovacevic off waivers

According to the team's Twitter account, Johnny Kovacevic, 25, of the Winnipeg Jets, is changing teams and will now play for the Montréal Canadiens.

Kovacevic weighs 218 lbs and is 6'5".

The defenseman scored 11 goals in 71 games last year with the the Manitoba Moose and the Winnipeg Jets.

Montréal Canadiens has already signed Logan Mailloux, and Owen Beck, and now have 28 players under contract for this season.
