EP Rinkside 3 stars: Goals, goals, goals

My No. 1 takeaway from the first fully full week of NHL hockey this season? It's hard not to have fun with this many good games going on.

Just last night, you could find yourself in rapt attention to that Carolina/Edmonton game in which the Hurricanes finally took their first loss, or you can watch through the slits between your fingers as Vancouver and Minnesota both try to find the easiest way to lose (turns out taking a bad penalty in overtime with Kirill Kaprizov on the ice will get it done every time).

Almost every night of the season so far has featured at least one highly entertaining game, which rocks. Will it last? Well, this is the NHL, so get back to me in February. But we can enjoy what we've got for now.
