Significant win for Colorado Avalanche players over Vegas players in top-of-the-standings clash

The visiting team took the lead early into the first period, a goal by Nathan MacKinnon. Cale Makar and Artturi Lehkonen assisted.

The Vegas players tied the game 1-1 with a minute left in the first when Jonathan Marchessault scored, assisted by Mark Stone and Jack Eichel.

Evan Rodrigues scored early into the second period, assisted by Samuel Girard and Bowen Byram.

Valeri Nichushkin increased the lead to 3-1 in the third period.

Chandler Stephenson narrowed the gap to 3-2 two minutes later, assisted by Mark Stone and Jack Eichel.

Vegas' record drops to 4–2–0, while Colorado improves to 3–2–1.

Looking at the standings, we find Vegas in second place, while Colorado is second in the league.
