We made a bold prediction for Calen Addison in the 2022 Elite Prospects Fantasy Hockey guide, with my colleague Cam Robinson divining that the Wild defenceman would be the answer to the Minnesota Wild's inconsistent power play.
The team did improve its conversion rate last year managing a respectable 20.5 percent, up from the 17.5 mark the year before. That 2021-22 percentage still placed them in the bottom half of the NHL, though, and considering the Wild’s forward talent, highlighted by the playmaking abilities of Kirill Kaprizov, Matt Boldy, and Mats Zuccarello, one would have hoped for a better finish for the team — say, somewhere in the top 10 of the league.
