Sabres decide in third period

In the first two periods of the game, the road-team Detroit Red Wings held out fine against the Buffalo Sabres. Buffalo fought back in the third period and won the game 8-3.

Buffalo improves to 6–3–0, while Detroit drops to 4–3–2.

The result means Buffalo is now in second place in the standings and Detroit is in fourth place.
