Islanders keep on winning

It was smooth sailing for the New York Islanders as they claimed another victory on Tuesday against the Chicago Blackhawks, making it four in a row. They won 3-1 over Chicago.

The Islanders took the lead late into the first period, with a goal from Anders Lee. Brock Nelson and Kyle Palmieri assisted.

Brock Nelson increased the lead to 2-0 early in the third period, assisted by Ross Johnston.

Jonathan Toews narrowed the gap to 2-1 three minutes later, assisted by Caleb Jones and Patrick Kane.

The Islanders increased the lead to 3-1 with 14 seconds remaining of the third after a goal from Zach Parise, assisted by Josh Bailey. The 3-1 goal was the last one of the game.

Chicago is now 4–4–2, while New York improves to 6–4–0.

Looking at the standings, we find Chicago in fourth place, while New York is fourth in the league.
