Star-studded Devils win again in game against Canucks

The New Jersey Devils are very hard to stop at the moment, and against the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday, they claimed yet another victory. The game finished 5-2 and New Jersey now has four wins in a row.

The visiting team took the lead early into the first period, with a goal from Nico Hischier. Jesper Bratt and Jack Hughes assisted.

The Devils' Michael McLeod increased the lead to 2-0 late in the first, assisted by Miles Wood and Nathan Bastian.

The Devils scored two goals in second period an held the lead 4-1 going in to the second break.

The Canucks' Bo Horvat narrowed the gap again, assisted by J. T. Miller and Elias Pettersson at 17:12 into the third period.

The Devils increased the lead to 5-2 with 01.02 remaining of the third period after a goal from Jack Hughes, assisted by Tomas Tatar. That left the final score at 5-2.

The Canucks were whistled for five penalties, while the Devils received six penalties.

Vancouver's record drops to 2–6–2, while New Jersey improves to 7–3–0.

The result means Vancouver is now in eighth and last place in the standings and New Jersey is in first place.

The Canucks host the Anaheim Ducks in the next game on the road on Thursday at 10 p.m. at Rogers Arena. The same day, the Devils will host the Oilers at 9 p.m. at Rogers Place.
