Star-studded Oilers win again in game against Predators
The Edmonton Oilers are very hard to stop at the moment, and against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday, they claimed yet another victory. The game finished 7-4 and Edmonton now has five wins in a row.
The first period ended with a 4-1 lead for the Oilers.
Two goals were scored in the second period, and the Oilers led 5-2 going in to the third period.
The Predators' Filip Forsberg narrowed the gap again, assisted by Matt Duchene and Mikael Granlund at 4:55 into the third period.
Leon Draisaitl increased the lead to 6-3 four minutes later, assisted by Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Connor McDavid.
Nino Niederreiter narrowed the gap to 6-4 nine minutes later, assisted by Mikael Granlund and Filip Forsberg.
The Oilers increased the lead to 7-4 with 01.33 remaining of the third period after a goal from Evander Kane, assisted by Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid. With that Kane completed the Oilers comeback. The 7-4 goal was the last one of the game.
Edmonton improves to 7–3–0, while Nashville drops to 3–6–1.
This means Nashville are in seventh place and that Edmonton are in second place.
