Predators win 4-1 on the road against Flames

The Nashville Predators won on the road on Thursday, handing the Calgary Flames a defeat 4-1.

The visiting team took the lead with a minute left in the first period, with a goal from Mark Jankowski. Mike McCarron and Cole Smith assisted.

The Predators increased the lead to 2-0 within the first minute of the second period when Filip Forsberg beat the goalie, assisted by Matt Duchene and Jeremy Lauzon.

The Predators increased the lead to 3-0 early when Roman Josi found the back of the net, assisted by Ryan Johansen and Filip Forsberg.

The Flames narrowed the gap to 3-1 within the first minute of the third period when Blake Coleman scored, assisted by Mikael Backlund.

The Predators increased the lead to 4-1 with 14 seconds remaining of the third after a goal from Matt Duchene, assisted by Mikael Granlund and Ryan McDonagh. That left the final score at 4-1.

Calgary drops to 5–4–0, while Nashville improves to 4–6–1.

Nashville are in sixth place after the game, while Calgary is in fifth.
