Kraken pull ahead in the third to defeat Penguins
The Seattle Kraken were victorious on the road against the Pittsburgh Penguins. After two periods, the teams were tied at 1, but Seattle pulled away in the third, winning the game 3-2.
Seattle's Brandon Tanev scored the game-winning goal.
The first period was scoreless, and early in the second period, the Penguins took the lead when Sidney Crosby opened the scoring assisted by Jake Guentzel and Kris Letang.
Seven minutes into the period, the Kraken's Vince Dunn scored a goal, assisted by Yanni Gourde, making the score 1-1.
Yanni Gourde took the lead early into the third period, assisted by Brandon Tanev and Morgan Geekie.
Jake Guentzel tied the game 2-2 two minutes later, assisted by Sidney Crosby and Kris Letang.
Brandon Tanev took the lead seven minutes later, assisted by Yanni Gourde and Morgan Geekie.
With this win the Kraken have four straight victories.
Pittsburgh drops to 4–6–2, while Seattle improves to 7–4–2.
Seattle are in second place after the game, while Pittsburgh is in seventh.
