Breaking down how John Marino has changed the Devils

While I was quite excited about the New Jersey Devils coming into the season, that optimism admittedly came with trepidation after the rollercoaster ride we'd been through with them the past few seasons. It had become something of a running bit to anoint them as the champions of the offseason after all of the impressive moves they'd make on paper, only to immediately come to regret the hype as soon as they actually started playing games.

But after years of burning us by falling short of those heightened expectations, the Devils finally appear to be realizing all of their immense potential. Not only are they banking wins during this current seven game streak that they're on, but they've been absolutely throttling their opponents every step of the way in the early going.
