How Leo Carlsson is making a historic statement in the SHL
Leo Carlsson is off to a historic start in the SHL, but it shouldn't necessarily come as a surprise.
The 6-foot-3 forward already had one of the best draft-minus-one campaigns in SHL, recording nine points in 35 games. Only Adam Larsson and Daniel Sedin scored more among comparable players in the league's history – pretty good company!
Carlsson's underlying results also happened to be extremely promising, easily holding a candle to what many top prospects had accomplished during their under-18 seasons.
Now, playing in a top-nine role for one of the best teams in the league in Örebro, Carlsson has logged 12 points in his first 17 games, third best on his team in points.
