The No. 4 pick in the 2022 NHL Draft is still on the NHL roster, but because of the loophole of an AHL conditioning stint, Wright is still able to play AHL games over the next two weeks. He can't be assigned there permanently, that would go against the NHL-CHL agreement, but after eating healthy scratches with the NHL club he'll finally be playing games with the Coachella Valley Firebirds (yes, that is the real name of an AHL team)
