Alex Lyon called up to play for Florida Panthers

According to the team's Twitter account, Alex Lyon, 30, is leaving the Charlotte Checkers to play for the Florida Panthers.

Lyon weighs 201 lbs and is 6'1".

Last season in NHL and AHL, the goaltender had a save percentage of .915 over 44 games with the Carolina Hurricanes and the Chicago Wolves.
