Jack Hughes is putting it all together and carrying the Devils

We haven't been making enough of the year Jack Hughes is having. 

There's a couple of reasons for that. With some of the scoring numbers that are being casually posted around the league, we're almost becoming desensitized to offensive totals that would've seemed unimaginable a couple of years ago. These days, the bar you need to clear to genuinely capture people's attention is getting obscenely high. 

There's also the fact that the Devils as a group got plenty of coverage in the early going after they took the league by storm, but there were enough contributing factors to dilute the recognition going primarily to Hughes.
