Unnumbered Thoughts: Gaudreau happy in Columbus, a thought on Larkin, and Jets leftovers

It’s time for unnumbered thoughts, this week we go A through J … around the NHL with my thoughts and observations  

A. Things haven’t gone well for the Columbus Blue Jackets. 

As of this writing, Columbus is last in the NHL with 28 points and will have the best odds of drafting Connor Bedard in June.

Johnny Gaudreau willingly chose this spot after leaving Calgary. He also isn’t regretting that decision.

“It’s been great, I’ve loved my time in Columbus, obviously the hockey part has been tough and we’ve lost a lot of games, but we’ve also been dealing with a lot of injuries,” Gaudreau said. “It’s been a lot of fun going to a new team for the first time, and I think you build long-term from here.”
