This can't be it. This can't be the way it all ends. Not for someone so kind, successful, and by all accounts decent as now former Canucks head coach Bruce Boudreau.
Parts of 15 years behind an NHL bench, all of them winning seasons save for this one, good for the sixth-highest winning percentage among active head coaches. His players loved him. His teams embraced him. Bruce, there it is, and so on.
Now, 46 games into his first full season with the Canucks – Bruce there he goes. After weeks (months?) of speculation, the news finally came this morning that he'd been relieved of his duties, with former Arizona Coyotes head coach Rick Tocchet set to assume his role behind Vancouver's bench.
