Trade Analysis: New York Islanders acquire Bo Horvat from the Vancouver Canucks
There was some legitimate angst around the league that we wouldn't get even a nibble of meaningful trade activity right up until the deadline. A cursory scan of Cap Friendly shows just five clubs holding more than a couple million dollars in space, three of which are unabashedly tanking this season.
With so few teams currently armed with the type of cap flexibility necessary to take on real salary, we figured there'd be a roadblock until March 3rd, at which point the floodgates would open, and there'd be a last-minute shopping frenzy the day of.
