Filipovic's Fun Facts: Eight Eastern Conference nuggets

I generally love it to pieces, but the NHL regular season can really feel like a grind at times. There's typically no time to take a beat and properly reflect on what's happening around the league. We don't ever get to reset, because there's always just another set of games on deck the very next night. 

That's why this week's schedule feels like a nice reprieve for everyone involved, with the number of games being played whittled down dramatically in advance of this weekend's All-Star festivities. The break gives us a chance to catch our breath, and take stock of what's going on before the sprint to the finish line resumes on Monday.
