Buffalo Sabres sign Dylan Cozens to a 7-year extension

The Buffalo Sabres signed forward Dylan Cozens to a seven-year, $49.7 million contract extension on Monday.

Cozens will have an annual cap hit of $7.1 million. He was scheduled to be a restricted free agent this summer. 

Cozens is having a career year in Buffalo, with 17 goals and 43 points in 49 games. Cozens had 13 goals and 38 points in 79 games a year ago.
