3 Stars: The reason for the trade season

I guess we're supposed to believe it's officially Trade Season.

Three trades since around the start of the All-Star break feels like it could really get things kicked off. Maybe, just maybe, this will turn into more of a Trade Season than a Trade Deadline. We shouldn't hold our collective breath quite yet, since it's not even clear everyone who's been rumored to be available will actually waive their trade protection and all that, or if teams will be particularly interested in meeting what's expected to be high prices for mediocre-to-bad players. But you never know.
