Spencer Knight to Receive Care from the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program
The National Hockey League Players’ Association and National Hockey League announced that Florida Panthers goalie Spencer Knight has entered the NHL/NHLPA player assistant program.
Under the terms of the joint program, Knight will continue to be paid while receiving treatment. He will return to the Club when cleared for on-ice competition by the program administrators.
Knight has played 21 games for Florida this season, posting a .901 save percentage and 3.18 goals against average. He was recently sent to the AHL's Charlotte Checkers.
