Dallas Stars add Evgenii Dadonov in trade for Denis Gurianov

The Dallas Stars traded Denis Guryanov to the Montreal Canadiens for Yevgeni Dadonov on Sunday.

Dadonov, 33, has recorded 18 points (4-14--18) in 50 regular-season contests with Montreal during the 2022-23 campaign. Among team leaders, he ranks sixth in assists (14) and shares seventh in points (18).

Montreal will retain 50 percent of Dadonov's contract. Gurianov, 25, will be a restricted free agent this summer.

“Evgenii is a skilled forward that can play anywhere in our lineup,” Stars general manager Jim Nill said. “Recording 20 or more goals in four of his previous five seasons, he is a proven goal-scorer at the NHL level and will bolster our offensive attack.”
