Take Town: Post-deadline malaise

Something that has to be said about the current situation with the Coyotes: I feel bad for just about everyone involved.

It seems apparent that the owner made a decision at some point very recently that there would be no money coming back in the Jakob Chychrun trade and thus the return for him was deeply underwhelming. And considering everything we were told the Coyotes would be seeking from a buyer, it has to hurt even more if you're a local fan. You might have been able to talk yourself into, "Losing Chychrun will hurt, but we'll be getting a great young player back, maybe a prospect or two, and a couple of first-round picks." Now the only way they're getting two picks in the first round is if the Ottawa Senators make the Eastern Conference Final. Good luck with all that.
