NCAA Tournament Update: Where things stand ahead of conference championships

The first night of NCAA hockey's championship weekend was a big one for Team Chaos.

With the bubble teams already sweating out every result, things mostly broke exactly the wrong way for those whose NCAA tournament chances were very much up in the air, and all but one of the night's six games went to overtime. The highest-scoring game was a 3-2 final.

And so, later today, six conference championships will be decided across college hockey.

We've known the matchups in three of those finals for the past week or so. In the CCHA, it's Minnesota State hosting Northern Michigan. In the Big Ten, it's Minnesota hosting Michigan. And in Atlantic Hockey, it's Canisius hosting Holy Cross.
