The NCAA tournament bracket is set, and you can feel free to start making your travel plans.
The participants in each of the four regional sites – Manchester, N.H.; Fargo, N.D.; Bridgeport, Conn.; and Allentown, Penn. – have been assigned by the committee, and there were relatively few surprises. That's true in part because the seeding worked out in such a way that no one was going to have a real right to complain about where they ended up.
The No. 1 team had a regional relatively close by, as did No. 2, which made it easy for No. 3 and 4 to be assigned elsewhere, and so on down the list.
There were a few conflicts, such as the Nos. 8 and 9 and Nos. 2 and 15 teams being in the same conference – and therefore by NCAA rule unable to play each other in the first round of the tournament – but the
