Where do the Columbus Blue Jackets go from here?

Fair to say this isn’t what Johnny Gaudreau was planning for when he signed as a free agent with the Columbus Blue Jackets. 

With 49 points through 69 games and a .355 points percentage, Columbus is last in the NHL and were officially eliminated from the playoffs (key word being officially) over the weekend. 

Columbus got off to a slow start, losing it’s first three back in October, and going 3-9-0 in the first 12 games, they have yet to put together a winning streak of more than two games. 

And then the injuries just piled up and Columbus lost more man games than any other team. 

Zach Werenski has been out since November after shoulder surgery, Justin Danforth has missed 62 games, and Jake Bean has missed 53 games.
