NCAA Hockey Tournament Preview: Can Quinnipiac finally break through?

The Quinnipiac Bobcats have made the last four NCAA tournaments, and eight of the last 10.

Over that last decade, few teams can match their record of a combined 274-107-42 (good for a .697 winning percentage).

They've also won seven of the last 10 ECAC regular season titles. However, with all that success, the only time they've won a postseason trophy of any kind was in 2015-16, when they won the ECAC regular season and playoff championships. For all that success in the run-up to the knock-out rounds, they have a propensity to lose heartbreakers or to get soundly beaten on a big stage.

Case in point: This season was one of their most successful campaigns ever, with 30 wins from 37 games, but they lost a double-overtime game 2-1 to a just-okay Colgate club in the ECAC semifinals.
