What to watch for in Round 1 of the 2023 Stanley Cup playoffs, Part 1

The playoffs are a test, and these next couple of days are our last opportunity to cram as much as we can before the games start on Monday evening. We're certainly striving to get you as ready as you possibly can be for the start of this year's postseason. 

Ryan Lambert put together a neat guide for those of you whose teams may've already been eliminated, and are looking for something to cheer for now. JFresh is breaking each series down in great detail, focusing on how each team's offence matches up against their opponent's defence, and vice versa.

I'm going to do a slightly different spin on things with my preview here. We're going to hone in on one key thing that I think is important to know going into each series. In some cases, it'll be a recent trend, and in others, it'll be a specific head-to-head matchup. Let's get into the good stuff, the details that make the NHL postseason so fun.
