Fantasy Hockey Focus: Fantasy Award Winners (and Losers)
The 2022-23 Fantasy Hockey season is officially in the books.
And so, today, we’re naming some awards for some of the best draft picks and players from this past season. We can attempt to use this information to help us navigate our decisions during the draft season next fall.
For reference, the Average Draft Position (ADP) is taken from a hybrid of ESPN and Yahoo drafts.
Most Valuable Player: Connor McDavid (ADP: 1)
This one is a layup, but we have to give credit where credit is due. Connor McDavid became just the sixth player in NHL history to record 150 points in a single season. He became just the fifth player to ever lead the league in goals, assists, and points in a single season. He won the Rocket Richard, Art Ross, and in a minute, the Hart Trophy.
Runner up: David Pastrnak (ADP: 26)
