The Bruins also have to deal with the fact that this era, which has carried with it a lot of regular-season and playoff success, is probably over.
They understandably pushed all-in with a group that featured Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci in their potential swan songs, racked up a truly humbling amount of points, pushing themselves to the very limits of the salary cap thanks to a combination of injuries and savvy trades. And in the end they couldn't figure out a way to get past the Florida Panthers.
