It finally happened: Connor McDavid versus Jack Eichel in the playoffs.

Admittedly that whole rivalry got kind of wrecked by McDavid turning into a top-five offensive player ever and Eichel struggling through injuries and being a pretty good first line centre when healthy. But it would seem amiss not to at least mention it.

In any event, this the real clash of the Pacific Division titans.

In one corner, a Vegas team that has gotten mostly healthy at the right time and is the most rested squad in the playoffs following a pretty decisive dispatch of the Winnipeg Jets. Eichel, Mark Stone, Alex Pietrangelo, Shea Theodore – what these stars have in common is that they're not getting any younger. With the core locked up long term this isn't Vegas' last kick at the can but the window is wide open an
