Fantasy Hockey Focus: Investigating Surprise Playoff Performances

There is a common theme each spring.

Player will find themselves in a more prominent role and for whatever reason, their numbers start to pop. 

The playoffs produce heroes. They become legends for fans, the Fernando Pisani effect. And then, next season, they become overvalued in fantasy hockey drafts (and in many cases by GMs in real life, too). 

So let's try to and figure out fact from fiction. Which playoff surprises are a blip, which are a trend? Who will keep it up? Who will regress?
