Ah jeez.

This entire season felt like a prelude to the first round, and no result was going to matter if they couldn't get out of it. But the fact that they did get out of now feels weirdly unimportant, because of how they lost in the second round.

As a result, everything is on the table.

Start from the top: General manager Kyle Dubas is at the end of his initial five-year contract, having turned this team into a perennial regular season power that couldn't get it across the line in the playoffs. The odds that he's brought back on a new deal seem phenomenally low, maybe not zero because they did end up getting into the second round for once, but it would be legitimately surprising if he were extended.
