How the Florida Panthers and Carolina Hurricanes won their round 2 matchups

Much like we did after the opening round, we're going to try and pull some notable takeaways from all of the hockey we saw in round 2. Hopefully it'll not only help explain why we got the final outcomes that we did, but also help prepare us for the upcoming Conference Finals. 

Thanks to a slight gap in scheduling that doesn't have the next set of games starting until Thursday night, we've got a bit of free time here to relax, reflect, and get ourselves ready to go for more. So let's use it wisely. We've already covered how the Vegas Golden Knights and Dallas Stars won their respective matchups, and punched their tickets to the West Final. Now let's shift our attention out East, and take a closer look at how the Florida Panthers and Carolina Hurricanes followed suit.
