EP Rinkside's 3 Stars from Day 7 of the 2023 Memorial Cup
KAMLOOPS, British Columbia – For the first time since 2015, the CHL Memorial Cup had a do-or-die tiebreaker matchup, with the host Kamloops Blazers taking on the Peterborough Petes.
These two clubs met last Sunday when the Blazers laid their boots to the OHL champs. Winning a 10-3 decision while captain Logan Stankoven (DAL) grabbed five points in the victory. That game was important. This game, the entire season was on the line.
Blazers defenseman Logan Bairos spoke to that effect: "We get to play another game today, and now we’re just fighting for our lives to be able to another game…tomorrow.”
