Stanley Cup Notebook: Jack Eichel's return highlights Vegas Game 2 domination
LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Mark Stone stalled with possession near the Vegas Golden Knights blue line early in the third period of a 7-2 Game 2 victory on Monday.
The momentary pause allowed Jack Eichel to streak into the neutral zone with speed, eliciting a roar from the Vegas crowd, many who were just realizing for the first time he had returned to the game.
Less than 10 seconds later it got even louder, with Eichel feeding Jonathan Marchessault for a 5-1 game-clinching goal soon.

Storybook stuff for a player who had left the second period immediately after a crushing, but clean, open-ice hit by Matthew Tkachuk when the Vegas forward toe-picked and tripped into the collision.
