Where do the Florida Panthers go from here?
Some great news for the Florida Panthers right out of the gate as summer arrives: They don't really have a lot of work to do this summer. Just a handful of players from their current roster are pending free agents, and the only one who's probably going to cost more than a few million bucks is Radko Gudas.
Even more great news: They have north of $10.25 million to spend, so there's a strong chance they can improve the roster.
But first the housekeeping. The only two pending RFAs technically on the NHL roster are forwards Givani Smith (36 big-league appearances this season, 119 in his career) and Colin White (8-7—15 in 68 appearances). Thus, we can safely assume they'll combine to come in under $2 million against the cap and only White will be a full-time NHLer next season in all likelihood.
